Frequently Asked Question

How to migrate iCal, iPhoto, iTunes
Last Updated 6 years ago

iCal
Any QVSD calendars you have migrated from Kerio into Office 365 will be accessible from the web at https://outlook.office.com. This will be the current place you will use calendars as we move forward with Office 365. We will no longer be supporting Apple's Mail, Contacts and Calendar applications on the new computers. Please log in to the site and look to see if your calendars are already there. If you do not see some of your calendars, please let me know which ones and we'll have to review where they are stored for me to help you get them migrated or opened if they are building shared calendars.

iPhoto
Quit iPhoto if it is running. From the Finder, select the Go menu and choose Home. Open the Pictures folder. Copy the file iPhoto Library to the same location on your new computer. If you have any photos stored in iPhoto (Photos) on your new computer, this will delete those photos and replace them with the content of your old iPhoto library. When you first open Photos, you may be prompted to update your Photos library. Once you continue, you should have your old iPhoto library imported into Photos on your new computer. If your old computer had iPhoto (not Photos), your computer will need enough space to make a copy of all photos to be imported into the new database format.

iTunes
Quit iTunes if it is running. From the Finder, select the Go menu and choose Home. Open the Music folder. Copy the iTunes folder to the same location on your new computer. If you have any music stored in iTunes on your new computer, this will delete the music and replace it with the content of your old iTunes library. When you first open iTunes, you may be prompted to update your iTunes library. Once you continue, you should have your old iTunes library imported on to your new computer.
